Stabilized green wall in offices: mosses and foliage

Bring nature indoors

Moss is a pioneering plant that naturally grows in various environments, including forests on rocks and tree trunks. Integrated into green walls, it brings with it the lush freshness of a undergrowth. At Végétal Tendance, we use two types of moss. The flat moss which gives a zen and minimalist style to the plant creations. The ball moss, which adds relief while being stylish and elegant. Creating a moss wall allows for a green frame that creates a pleasant, welcoming, and natural atmosphere.

Where to install a moss green wall?

Like all stabilized walls, the moss wall should be placed indoors. Indeed, there are two things that stabilized plants fear: humidity and direct exposure to UV light. The indoor location is ideal and allows for a lifespan of the wall of 5 to 7 years. This lifespan can be considerably extended with annual maintenance. Reception hall, office, restaurant, hotel, agency, institute, private housing… This type of interior decoration finds its place in any type of location. The moss wall does not specifically need a load-bearing wall; it tolerates all types of supports: wall, ceiling, furniture, structure…

Stabilization to free yourself from maintenance

For the creation of a moss wall, Végétal Tendance uses stabilized plants. Totally ecological, the stabilization process consists of replacing the sap of the mosses with vegetable glycerin. This is a biodegradable conservation product that allows the plant to be preserved in time. It no longer needs water, light, or fertilizer. Nevertheless, it retains all its freshness, flexibility, and color: it is a true natural plant! No need for a watering system, water reservoir, or light; the stabilized moss wall requires no maintenance. Forget about that famous green thumb and fully enjoy an easy-to-live-with plant decoration.

A moss wall as a sound insulator

A calm space to work

Green walls improve acoustic comfort. Indeed, when a sound is emitted, it disperses in space and bounces off smooth surfaces like concrete. If it reaches a green wall, it is muffled by the plants and therefore greatly reduced. The most effective vegetation in terms of sound insulation is ball moss. With their density, the moss panels will absorb sound waves and provide interesting insulation. Thus, the moss wall does two things at once: it creates a vegetal decor and improves the acoustics of the rooms. In offices, it isolates meeting rooms for increased privacy. In wall version, the moss wall reduces noise disturbances in open spaces. Within private housing, it insulates from noises caused by neighbors.

A decorative vertical garden

There are multiple designs to create an indoor green wall made of mosses. You can opt for a facade entirely covered with flat moss. This option is particularly interesting if you want to place products or a logo in front. It is also possible to mix varieties of mosses. Ball moss and flat moss combine two shades of green and offer a clean look. To achieve a fuller effect, moss can be combined with foliage. Ivy, eucalyptus, parchment fern, barba, and stabilized flowers like orchids create a true little indoor garden. Another option is to choose lichen, which offers many colors. In any case, this plant creation dresses your walls without taking up floor space.

Moss wall or picture?

At Végétal Tendance, we consider green walls to be larger than 2m² and plant frames to be smaller than this area. Whether it is a wall or a picture, we always provide a side finish. The thickness of the wall is dressed with an aluminum blade or vegetation. Measuring 2mm thick, the aluminum blade is preferred for its discretion. The picture, on the other hand, has a natural wood frame. White, black, anthracite, natural… You have the choice between different shades. The wall is fixed to the support, while the picture can be hung or removed more easily. If you are looking for an easily movable installation, it is better to opt for our removable partitions.

A moss wall with logo

The natural moss green wall is an ideal green backdrop to place a logo. At Végétal Tendance, we take care of creating your logo and inserting it onto the green wall. Whether it is letters or illustrations, we create your logo exactly as it is. We place it in front of the moss wall, using spacers. These create a small distance between the lettering and the stabilized vegetation. The logo can be raised and illuminated. Thus placed on its vegetated background, your logo reflects an authentic and natural company. Integrating vegetation into a logo allows for conveying a message and promoting values committed to the environment.
