What is a green wall?

A green wall is a surface, either indoors or outdoors, that we cover with a multitude of living or non-living plants. This vertical garden has several advantages: aesthetically pleasing, it takes up little floor space, it reduces noise, and requires little maintenance.

Where to install a green wall?

In general, the green wall can be installed indoors or outdoors. For the living wall, we only perform installations indoors. We recommend installing it near a light source to ensure the proper growth of the plants. The stabilized wall is also placed indoors, avoiding direct sunlight exposure and should be kept away from humid rooms. The artificial wall artificial has the advantage of adapting indoors as well as outdoors: it is not afraid of UV rays, which eliminates any risk of discoloration. Green walls are ideal for public spaces (shopping centers, hotels, shops, restaurants), although other configurations are possible (living rooms, private terraces).

Why install a green wall?

Dressing your interiors with a green wall represents a real opportunity for the company and its employees. Each wall has numerous benefits.

The living wall

The living green wall has the main advantage of improving air quality and regulating humidity levels. The various plants that make it up will capture harmful gases through their roots and redistribute them as oxygen. This depollution will have a positive effect on the health of employees and visitors who will be exposed to healthier air. Moreover, the presence of green plants would act on the well-being of employees by reducing anxiety levels, for example. They will be able to concentrate more and work in complete serenity. We installed a living wall at Credit Europe Bank. This green wall provides a warm, natural, and welcoming environment for employees as well as for visitors. This arrangement communicates the environmental values that the bank wishes to share. The living green wall at Végétal Tendance requires very little maintenance thanks to an automatic watering system. The plants are placed in pockets that are installed in containers. A water reservoir placed at the bottom of the wall will distribute all the necessary water and nutrients (liquid fertilizer) to the plants, allowing for spaced-out watering over time. We offer a maintenance contract to trim and enrich the plants.

The stabilized wall

The stabilized green wall allows for the arrangement of spaces while reducing noise. Thanks to the moss that forms the base of the wall and the stabilized plants, the sound emitted will be partially absorbed and will not bounce back like on a traditional wall. This acoustic property is a major asset for large spaces such as open spaces where noise is omnipresent. Employees will be able to gain privacy and tranquility as in the offices in the Pont Rouge district. We have installed stabilized walls in places conducive to exchanges: offices and corridors. These installations allow for a design and natural decor. Stabilized walls are maintenance-free, which allows for budget control and enjoying a sustainable decoration. Indeed, stabilized plants have given up their plant sap for biodegradable glycerin, which preserves the plant over time and allows it to maintain the aesthetics of a green plant: color, freshness, and flexibility. We offer several finishes for stabilized walls with varying foliage densities. Our custom-made stabilized walls can take on the colors of the company or add the logo. An annual maintenance is necessary to replace the plants and dust them off.

The artificial wall

The artificial green wall guarantees a trendy and maintenance-free decoration: there is neither substrate nor irrigation system. The goal of the artificial wall is to bring greenery, to improve the view or to hide installations that we do not wish to show. We choose high-end plants to achieve a result that is as realistic as possible. Our plants are mainly made of PE materials or textiles. Equipped with UV protection, the artificial wall is less likely to deteriorate, as the plants are not afraid of moisture. It is also possible to integrate a logo to highlight the brand image. The artificial green wall is also a safety for difficult-to-vegetalize locations such as restaurants because it avoids any contact with food. We have dressed artificial walls from floor to ceiling in the restaurant Taratata. The dressing of the place helps create a unique, chic, and stylish atmosphere. At the client’s request, we inserted white flowers to brighten up the composition. Outdoors, on a facade, the artificial wall is also a way to attract customers into your store. The greenery stands out and is increasingly appealing.

How to install a green wall?

For the living wall, the first step is to fix the metal structure to the wall. Inside, there are containers through which water will circulate. We then add vegetated pockets equipped with a wick in the containers to cover the entire surface.

For the installation of the stabilized wall, we first prepare wooden panels in the workshop on which we place the plants. Once the panels are prepared, it’s time for delivery and installation. We fix the wooden panels to the wall and then proceed with the final touches.

The artificial green wall is also easy and hassle-free. Flexible, it can be installed on any type of support. As with the stabilized wall, we prepare the plants in the workshop and then staple and fix them to the wall using wooden panels once on site.
